Why I built Tiny Table and why it might be for you, too.
For the One Who Sets the Table 🪑
Hi friends,
Before Saturday arrives with our first full menu, I wanted to take a moment to tell you why this project means so much to me.
Tiny Table began the way a lot of things do in parenting. Out of necessity and a little bit of magic.
I was in the thick of parenting two young children, craving slowness, ritual, and something that felt just structured enough. I needed a rhythm that held us without holding us back. Something I could prep once, and follow their lead for the rest of the week. Something rooted in the kind of learning that doesn’t feel like teaching, just being together, with our hands in the mud and our eyes full of wonder.
That’s how Tiny Table was born.
🧺 Each week, a new theme — each day, a Tiny Quest
Every Saturday, I’ll share a fresh play menu inspired by nature, wonder, and child-led learning. These aren’t just one-off crafts — they’re part of something deeper.
Each week builds on the last, introducing playful arcs that invite children to:
Follow curiosity across days
Practice doing hard things (in the gentlest way)
Grow rituals that feel both fun and grounding
We call these Mini Quests. Little missions for brave bodies and growing minds. Sometimes that looks like balancing on a log. Sometimes it’s sketching a leaf’s shadow. Sometimes it’s slithering like a snake or making a bravery badge after doing something scary.
They’re not big or flashy. But over time, they build the kind of grit, attention, and confidence we hope our children carry into the world.
👩👧👦 Not Just for Parents
Tiny Table is for anyone who spends time with little ones. Grandparents, nannies, educators, aunties, uncles, and all kinds of caregivers.
Whether you’re home full time or juggling work and care, you’ll find something here that meets you where you are and lets you move through the week with more intention and a lot more ease.
🎉 The First Issue Launches Saturday, September 21
Free subscribers will get a peek at each week’s theme.
Paid subscribers unlock the full play menu, supply lists, how-to videos, printable templates, and little “field notes” from real family experiments.
But no pressure, just follow along and see what calls to you.
Thank you for being here. It means a lot.
Stay curious,
Christine

As a parent to one little (with another on the way), I feel seen reading this. Thank you for creating something that honours both caregivers and kids!
Being a grandma is not just treating the little one with sweets and all they want to eat. It is also about educating ourselves to understand their world, to learn how to play with them and how to make great memories. Thanks for creating this.
